The QRP Labs Ultimate 3S is a kit I purchased to build a WSPR transmitter.
It is through-hole so it is pretty easy to assemble.
I followed the well-written instructions starting by installing the socket.
Next, I installed the capacitors.
Next, was the crystal.
The next was to install a toroid. This is the first one I have ever made. It was not as hard as I thought.
This board is built to connect with several other boards to make the radio customizable to what you want. These connectors are for the low pass filter.
The next set of connectors is for the clock circuitry. Also in these pictures are switches used to run and program.
Next were the pots and a resistor.
One of the nice things about this kit is there are many options some of the options are selected by jumpers or by adding resistors. So you may not see them but there are several jumpers in this image.
I installed the chip in the socket before adding the display.
The next thing was the output transistor. There is room for three but I am starting with one.
The display is added and we are almost done with this part of the build.
